Happy new year

Todavía no os he deseado feliz Año Nuevo! Estas vacaciones decidí cerrar el pc y desconectar de todo. Finalmente una conjuntivitis tremenda que todavía me dura me ha obligado a cumplir mi promesa aunque no ha conseguido que dejara de pintar. A pesar de la terrible quemazón en los ojos, han surgido, de una plancha de madera de 60 x 50 cm, dos ositos encantadores (Matilda y Oliver) que han animado mis tardes de pintura, mientras esperaba a que mis hijos se despertaran de la siesta y sonaba suavemente la dulce melodía que Jaime ensayaba al piano. ¿Qué más se puede pedir? La verdad es que estas vacaciones han sido maravillosas, el cumpleaños de mi hijo, visita al Thyssen para ver a Berthe Morisot, cenas y comidas en familia, museo del Ferrocarril, el Belén de El Escorial con chocolate incluido, la exposición de la Nasa en la Casa de Campo, tardes de compras, "Un Método Peligroso" en el cine, roscón de Reyes con nuestros amigos... Ahora toca pensar en el año que acaba de llegar y tengo muchos deseos y planes y, sobre todo, una firme convicción:

"Creetelo: cualquier cosa que puedas imaginar la puedes hacer realidad."

I haven't had the chance to wish all of you a happy new year. This holidays I decided to close the PC and disconnect from everything. Finally a terrible conjunctivitis that I still suffer forced me to keep my promise but didn't make me stop painting. Despite the terrible eye burning, two charming bears (Matilda and Oliver) have emerged from a wooden 60 x 50 cm board, and they have encouraged my painting afternoons while waiting for my kids to woke up of their siesta and listening to the sweet melody of Jaime's piano. What else can I desire? In fact, these holidays have been wonderful, my son's birthday, visit to Thyssen museum to see Berthe Morisot exhibition, dinners with my family, the Bethlehem of El Escorial with a delicious chocolate, Nasa exhibition, afternoon shopping, cinema, Christmas cake with our friends.... Now is time to think about this year that has begun and I have many desires and plans to do, and a firm conviction:

"Believe it: you can make real anything you can imagine."

Matilda

Ésta es Matilda, una osita tímida que hice para mi hija hace dos días. Le ha encantado aunque protesta porque le gustaría que tuviera los zapatos rosas y la bufanda rosa y la flor rosa. Pero en ese color habría quedado muy mal, ¿no? 

This is Matilda, a shy little bear I've done two days ago for my daughter. She loved it but would like her to have pink shoes, pink scarf and pink flower... but I prefer white.

Little angels for Ines

Éste es mi último encargo y creo que a la pequeña Inés y a su mamá les encantó recibir un regalo tan especial.

This is my last order and I've heard that little Inés and her mum loved to receive such an special present.

Bob the super champion

Éste es el nuevo osito que decorará la cabecera de mi hijo. Me ha salido un poco barrigón pero seguro que si se empeña puede llegar a ser el mejor osito futbolista del mundo.

This is the new teddy bear that will decorate the wall of my son's bedroom. It has a little big tummy but if he tries he will get the best football player ever.

Me gusta Dwell, una web de muebles e ideas para el hogar. Hoy me ha dado por el amarillo y elijo entre todo su contenido esta silla y estas lámparas.

I like Dwell, a web of decoration full of furniture and ideas. I'm crazy about yellow things and I choose this chair and this lamps.

Watering the daisies

Éste es otro cuadro de la colección Mamino. Se titula "Regando las margaritas" y se lo dediqué a Lucía, una de las amiguitas de mi hija Adri. La carita de alegría que puso al ver el cuadro y la ilusión con la que decía a su hermano "mira, mira, es para mí" hace que la idea Pintolines cobre todavía más sentido, que los niños sonrían al ver sus cuadros.

This is another painting from Mamino collection. It's called "Watering the daisies" and I dedicated it to Lucía, a friend of my daughter. The joy on her face looking at the painting and the enthusiasm telling her brother "look, look, it's for me" gives even more sense to the idea of Pintolines Art Studio, make the children smile when looking at their paintings. 

PPF House

Arte, diseño, música... No sé muy bien qué es, si un estudio de arte o una discográfica (porque también hacen música) pero esta página es genial. Se llama PPF House y tengo que explorarla más.

Art, desing, music... I don't know exactly what it is, an art studio or a band (cause they also make music) but this page is great. It's called PPF House and I have to explore it.
